Mr. Bloomfield then brought an action against Mr. M'Hugh, who was a merchant in Belleek, and chairman of the Ballyshannon Board of Guardians, for damages, and the venue was changed from Dublin to Omagh Assizes, when damages were obtained against Mr. M'Hugh, and the present action, which was for £1,000, was a similar one against Dr. Stephens. After the sitting of the Court there was considerable delay, when it was announced to his Lordship (Mr. Justice Murphy) that the case was being settled.
